If you pay attention to a baby learning its mother tongue, you will see, it observes its new world, connects, associates. It practices until it is right. The process of learning a foreign language is similar.
Checking with the first language helps. However, learning a language is much more than a literal translation.
It is about daring to dive and see what happens. Trust that whatever we know, live, sense will give us an idea, though sometimes vague, of the message. There are contexts, similarities with other languages; who knows what we will make the connection with? But of this I’m sure, the more you connect, the quicker you’ll learn.
